ODF ATTAINMENT STATUS

ODF means " Open Defaecation Free " and attaining ODF means the community does not have people defaecating in open space

It is derived from the percentage of the number of triggered communities practising ODF to the total number of triggered communities

The hygiene condition of the community in percentage

Latrine Acces Rate

The ratio of the number of latrines in triggerred communities to the population in these communities

If the ratio gets smaller, that is 1 latrine : less than 10people, then it means latrine access rate is higher, but if the ratio is to more than 10 people then latrine acces rate is lower

Potential ODF Status Of Community

Step 1: Check if there is visible faeces in community - if so, it means the community is practicing OD

Step 2: Check if household practicing OD – if YES, then it is OD

Step 3:
If percentage is less than 80%, it is OD
If percentage is greater than or equal to 80%, it is ODF Basic
If percentage is equal to 100%, it is ODF
